Overview
Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance prior to start is required. DoD 8570 certification IAT - Level II (e.g., Sec+ or Higher) required. This role involves cybersecurity engineering with knowledge of cyber technologies, DoDI 8500.2, and NIST SP 800-53, along with strong documentation and communication skills.
Responsibilities- Utilize Assessment & Authorization (A&A) background to analyze ACAS/SCC/Config
OS scans and controls for continuous system authorization. - Collaborate with C2
BMC and external stakeholders to assess system vulnerabilities, manage accounts, and generate engineering responses for system POA&Ms. - Conduct risk analysis for Risk Acceptance Requests (RARs).
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions to enhance workflow efficiencies and the system cybersecurity posture.
- Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance prior to start
- DoD 8570 certification IAT - Level II (e.g., Sec+ or Higher)
- Solid cybersecurity engineering skills with working knowledge of cyber technologies, DoDI 8500.2, and NIST SP 800-53
- Excellent technical document preparation and verbal communication
- Thorough understanding of ACAS/SCC outputs
- Hands-on experience reviewing scan data, STIGs, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls
Our team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2
BMC) team at Lockheed Martin, is dedicated to engineering, developing, and integrating new capabilities for the Missile Defense System that protects the United States and its allies. We operate within smaller, agile teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with responsibilities including Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing critical missile defense technologies.
What You’ll Do
- Assess ACAS/SCC/Config
OS scans and controls for continuous authorization. - Work with C2
BMC and external stakeholders to assess vulnerabilities, manage accounts, and respond to POA&Ms. - Perform risk analysis for RMF-related activities and risk acceptance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance cybersecurity posture.
Please Note
This position requires a DoD government security clearance at the Secret level prior to start; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
The role may involve travel to customer sites across the U.S. (approximately 10%).

- Experience managing Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs)/IAVMs and POA&Ms
- Experience with 3rd party assessors and auditors
- Experience performing self-assessments and analyzing STIGs
- Experience with eMASS/Xacta and accreditation of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)
- Experience with management and auditing of accounts
- Knowledge of patch and configuration management of complex and disparate enterprise systems
