The Computer Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and maintaining computer systems and software applications. Provides technical support, troubleshoots issues, and ensures the proper functioning of computer hardware and software. Plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of an organization's computer systems.

Based in the Charleston, SC area; may require deployment to McMurdo Station, Antarctica.

Bonus Opportunity CNI rewards employees who deploy and are in good standing with a monthly deployment bonus and a deployment completion bonus, as well as a performance‑based bonus upon completion of deployment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conducts analysis and evaluation of computer systems and software applications.
  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting for complex computer systems and software.
  • Installs, configures, and maintains computer hardware and software.
  • Collaborates with team members to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Develops and updates system configurations and procedures.
  • Participates in testing and quality assurance activities.
  • Provides user training and support.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of system enhancements and upgrades.
Essential Requirements
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment, and property.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid Security+ certification.
  • Must obtain an OS certificate within six (6) months.
  • Must be able to perform job duties in extreme, cold, dark, work environments.
  • Required to physically qualify (PQ) in accordance with the USAP requirements for deployment to Antarctica.
  • Must pass medical and dental examination prior to deployment; expenses are reimbursable.
  • Broad knowledge of data sources, data flow, systems interactions, advanced computer equipment and software applications, and advanced systems design techniques.
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of a variety of concepts, practices and procedures related to computer systems and applications.
  • Ability to analyze and develop complex design objectives.
  • Proven ability to perform in an advisory capacity and to make recommendations for resolving issues.
  • Excellent computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Windows/Office.
  • Solid analytical, critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED and a minimum of one (1) year of experience for Computer Systems Analyst.
  • High school diploma or GED and a minimum of three (3) years of experience for Computer Systems Analyst

  • High school diploma or GED and a minimum of five (5) years of experience for Computer Systems Analyst

Physical Demands

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit, use hands and arms to handle tools and computers, and occasionally stand, walk, stoop or lift objects up to 10 pounds routinely and up to 25 pounds occasionally. Requires close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise.
