Position: Payroll and Financial Systems Reporting, Term-Limited / Lead Data Management IV - Hybrid

Position Overview

This is a term-limited position with an anticipated end date of June 30, 2027 contingent upon funding. The position is eligible for full benefits and is open only to residents of the State of Colorado at the time of submitting your application.

Responsibilities

Subject‑matter expert on Insight and info Advantage system functions and operational policies, completing changes related to these system functions, including design and configuration of reports in the financial, budget, procurement, payroll, and HR areas.

Provides knowledge transfer and support to report developers at the agency level statewide and administers the processes managing report developer specialized access and tools in Insight and info Advantage.

Supports the integration between the reporting tools and the CORE/COMPAS application, including folder and report data security access, to ensure a seamless end‑user experience.

Participates in and leads change management activities such as end‑user testing, business and system process improvements, collaborating with users to understand business needs, and processing requests to migrate changes and patches into the applications.

Report Administration & Report Design

  • Administers the info Advantage/Insight application for CORE/COMPAS, establishing and managing policies and procedures for application use, user access, and report management across statewide and departmental folders.
  • Works with reporting user groups and stakeholders to determine statewide reports to create, update, or delete to maximize usability and prevent duplication.
  • Collaborates with vendor staff as necessary to create, join, or modify report universes/schemas to meet statewide and agency end‑user business needs related to financial, payroll, and HR reporting.

CORE/COMPAS Reports User Support

  • Trails troubleshooting, research, and resolution of incident tickets or user requests, assists the CORE/COMPAS Tier I Help Desk, and performs audit reporting and compliance monitoring of application use in conformance with security policies.

Training CORE/COMPAS Reporting Users

  • Contributes SME information to training design, assists training teams with standardized training materials, and delivers training to CORE/COMPAS users.
  • Provides advanced customized training to users as requested.

CORE/COMPAS Reports System Testing

  • Facilitates design, testing, and implementation of configuration and reporting requests for the info Advantage/Insight application per change management procedures and provides alternative solutions when configuration options are not technically possible.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least seven (7) years of professional experience in data management in finance, payroll administration, accounting, or similar work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence.
  • Experience with CGI Advantage ERP.
  • Previous state service related to the work assigned to the position.
  • Experience with financial and/or payroll reporting systems within a government organization.
