Job Description
As a Director of Planning at Honeywell Technologies, you will play a critical role in driving the 5‑step S&OP process and key initiatives to achieve revenue, margin and cash flow goals for the businesses you support. You will develop close connections to the commercial partners in the businesses and lead a team of supply chain planning professionals. You will collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure alignment with key business strategies and objectives, and champion the integration of Honeywell Sundyne into the Honeywell Technologies portfolio after its 2025 acquisition.
You will report directly to the VP Supply Chain for our Process Technologies (PT) division and work along with the business partners in our Arvada, CO location on a hybrid work schedule with three or more days per week in the office. In this role, you will have a significant impact on the financial performance of the business through support of all growth initiatives, creation of a robust pipeline of working capital and cost‑saving improvements, and driving initiatives that increase our planning capabilities.
Responsibilities- Lead an informal team of demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management to over deliver key metrics and execute with excellence.
- Drive alignment between Planning and all other supply chain & commercial teams to achieve success and ensure the business is set up for growth.
- Optimize internal processes to improve S&OP process maturity to level 4.
- “Conduct the orchestra” across end‑to‑end supply chain to ensure achievement of a double‑digit growth agenda.
- Facilitate the 5‑step S&OP/IBP process for rolling 18‑24 months and ensure an effective S&OE exists for the current quarter.
- Lead planning‑related activities for integration.
- Partner with business leaders to design a global supply chain that delivers exceptional results for customers.
- Monitor demand, supply, inventory, and material requirement plans.
- Lead all Business Continuity Plans for the planning function to deliver risk mitigation plans and ensure quick recovery from crises or disaster situations.
- Ensure delivery of inventory targets, PFEP, and reduction of aged inventory.
- Develop and drive the talent pipeline for planning roles, including mentoring and coaching upcoming talent.
- Streamline work through digital transformation.
- Connect with Corporate Planning at the HON level to ensure adherence to all Global Design Models in accordance with the Honeywell Accelerator framework.
- 10+ years of experience in S&OP, demand planning, supply planning, and inventory or materials management.
- Proven track record in leading a 5‑step S&OP process for a commercial business.
- Strong leadership and people‑management skills.
- Demonstrated transformational leadership experience to support accelerating growth and dynamic mergers & acquisitions.
- 5+ years of experience in SAP MRP and ERP, preferably on Engineer‑to‑Order or deal‑based business with variant configuration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or a related field.
The annual base salary range for this position is $169,000 – $210,000.
Compensation PackageThis position is incentive plan eligible.
