Position: Assistant Manager Gone to the Dogs

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our business, ensuring that our team meets performance goals while delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for retail management, and the ability to effectively manage shifts and employee orientation.

This role will require one day a week at the Salida location.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing daily operations and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Manage shift schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand.
  • Provide training development for new hires and ongoing training for existing staff to enhance their skills.
  • Support sales management efforts by analyzing sales data and implementing strategies to achieve targets.
  • Maintain an organized work environment that promotes teamwork and efficiency.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Foster a positive work culture by encouraging employee engagement and motivation.

Skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Experience in retail management is preferred, with a focus on employee orientation and training development.
  • Knowledge of budgeting principles to assist in financial planning and resource allocation.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with team members and customers alike.
