We specialize in machining
complex geometries and difficult-to-cut alloys; your expertise in both Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and mechanical dimensional inspection is vital to ensuring these intricate designs meet the uncompromising standards of flight safety.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI):Perform high-sensitivity Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) on complex, multi-axis machined parts to detect discontinuities in aluminum, titanium, and advanced aerospace alloys
  • Mechanical Dimensional Inspection:Utilize precision hand tools—including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges—to verify tight-tolerance features and internal diameters against engineering blueprints
  • Blueprint & GD&T Interpretation:Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards for contoured structural components
  • Technical Documentation:Record, organize, and report inspection results. Generate non-conformance reports (NCRs) and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing leads to resolve root causes of defects
  • Equipment Calibration:Set up, calibrate, and perform daily/weekly process control checks on NDT equipment and mechanical measuring tools
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Certification:Current
    Level II Certification
    in Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) in accordance with
    NAS-410
    or ASNT SNT-TC-1A
  • Geometric Expertise:Proven track record of inspecting high-precision components with complex geometries (e.g., 5-axis milled parts)
  • Mechanical

    Skills:

    Proficiency in manual dimensional inspection and the use of standard metrology equipment
  • Vision:Must pass and maintain current eye examinations (Jaeger requirements) as required by NAS-410
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with
    Model-Based Definition (MBD)and digital inspection techniques
  • Knowledge of additional NDT methods (e.g., Magnetic Particle, Eddy Current, or Ultrasonic Testing)
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality management systems
Education

High school diploma or GED

Minimum of 2–4 years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
