Mechanical Assembler

Summary The Mechanical Assembler I is responsible for the assembly and/or fabrication of mechanical parts, pieces or products according to the required specifications within the assigned area of production.

Roles & Responsibilities :

Schedule is 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products

Utilize hand held tools such as a hand held screw and drill gun Maintain inventory of product in work stations

Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards

Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified

Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes

Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures

Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience High School or Equivalent Requires 1-2 years related experience

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is a must.

Ability to read and comprehend documents and follow simple instructions.

Ability to read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions and understand electrical diagrams

Basic computer navigation and utilization skills

Must pass an assembly test Basic knowledge for proper use of hand tools: tape measure, drills, pneumatic air tools

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb and use hands to grip regularly.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Prolonged periods of sitting.

Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined.
