Manufacturing Engineer Opportunity
Kratos Industries is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead BOM validation, kit readiness, and production process definition within our advanced electrical equipment manufacturing operations.
This role will focus on ensuring engineering output is accurate, complete, and executable in production, with primary responsibility for, but not limited to:
- BOM validation and alignment (Engineering to ERP(Job Boss) to physical build)
- Kit readiness and verification processes
- Production process definition and build sequence
- Work instruction development
- Engineering-to-production integration
- Material and pick list accuracy tied to production sequence
- In-process issue resolution tied to design or BOM gaps
We are specifically seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who has worked directly in production environments, not solely supporting design, but ensuring product is buildable, repeatable, and aligned to real assembly conditions.
Key responsibilities include:
- BOM Validation & Material Alignment
- Kit Readiness & Production Start Stability
- Production Process Definition
- Production Support & Issue Resolution
- Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Alignment
Required qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or assembly-focused engineering roles
- Direct, hands-on experience performing:
- BOM validation and material alignment
- Work instruction development
- Assembly process definition
- Production support in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems (Job Boss or similar)
- Experience working in industrial equipment, or other high-precision manufacturing environments
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in high-mix, low-to-mid volume manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated success reducing production disruptions tied to BOM or material issues
- Experience supporting kitting strategies and material readiness processes
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Experience working closely with Assembly, Supply Chain, and Quality teams in a production environment
- Proven ability to improve build quality and consistency through process definition

- Able to translate engineering design into clear, executable steps
