Mechanical Assembler I
Responsible for the assembly and/or fabrication of mechanical parts, pieces, or products according to required specifications within the assigned area of production.
Roles & Responsibilities- Schedule:
6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. - Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions to accurately assemble equipment and products.
- Utilize hand‑held tools such as screwdrivers, drill guns, wire strippers, and other assembly tools.
- Maintain inventory of product in work stations.
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
- Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
- Complete any other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Required 1‑2 years of related experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend documents and follow simple instructions.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and understand electrical diagrams.
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills.
- Must pass an assembly test.
- Basic knowledge of hand‑tool use: tape measure, drills, pneumatic air tools.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, and use hands to grip regularly.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly perform repetitive tasks and maintain proper posture.
- Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards.
- Hourly pay range: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
