Job Title: Compliance and Inventory Manager

Job Summary

The Compliance and Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing cGMP compliance, with additional experience in 111/117 requirements, managing inventory systems and their reconciliation with production batch records, and overseeing shipping and receiving operations. This position works directly with production technicians and packaging staff to implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure ongoing regulatory adherence throughout the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance
  • Interpret and apply cGMP requirements, with additional experience in 111/117 regulations, to facility operations
  • Maintain, update, and enforce the company's SOP package to ensure alignment with current regulatory requirements and actual facility practice
  • Train facility technicians and packaging staff on SOPs and monitor ongoing compliance
  • Prepare documentation for and support internal and external regulatory audits
  • Maintain compliance records and documentation in audit‑ready condition at all times
Inventory and Batch Management
  • Maintain inventory records in the SOS Inventory system
  • Reconcile raw material, in‑process, and finished goods inventory against Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) batch records and Master Manufacturing Records (MMRs)
  • Ensure inventory data integrated with Quick Books is accurate and supportable for audit purposes
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory, batch documentation, and system records
Quality Control
  • Run HPLC (High‑Performance Liquid Chromatography) sample analysis and interpret results to support batch release and quality control
Shipping and Receiving
  • Oversee all shipping and receiving operations for the facility
  • Ensure outbound product labeling meets regulatory and customer requirements
  • Manage outbound shipments through Ship Station and ensure shipments are tracked and tied to corresponding batch numbers
  • Coordinate with packaging personnel to ensure they are trained on labeling standards, shipping procedures, and batch tracking requirements
  • Oversee receiving of incoming raw materials and supplies, verifying against purchase orders and quality specifications
Required Qualifications
  • 3‑5 years of experience in a compliance, quality, or inventory management role within a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of cGMP, with additional experience in 111/117
  • Experience with inventory management systems
  • Familiarity with Quick Books or comparable accounting software
  • Experience with shipping/fulfillment software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on the production floor as required
  • Willingness to work with and around hazardous materials used in the manufacturing process; training will be provided
  • Ability to run and interpret HPLC (High‑Performance Liquid Chromatography) sample results
  • Prior supervisory or management experience, including training and directing staff
  • Experience training and coordinating with production or packaging staff
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in hemp or cannabinoid manufacturing
  • Experience with HR‑related processes and personnel management preferred
  • Formal quality systems training or certification
  • Experience using AI‑based tools for workflow automation or documentation
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing facility environment, including exposure to production equipment and materials
  • Ability to lift and move materials as needed for shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
