CNC Turning Specialist III – Aerospace & Defense

The Mission Own the precision turning process from setup to finish. You’ll handle complex parts on 2-axis CNC horizontal and VTL lathes, jump onto 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills when needed, and use manual machines to eliminate bottlenecks. You’ll stage jobs, control tooling, and keep quality and flow locked in.

Core Responsibilities Set up and operate manual machine tools to support CNC operations.

Set up and operate 2-axis CNC horizontal and VTL lathes; additionally set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills as required.

Organize, stage, and move materials to meet schedule and quality objectives.

Evaluate and requisition purchased tooling and supplies.

Experience You Bring High School Diploma or equivalent.

Four or more years of machine tool setup and operation in an ISO/AS/MIL STD prototype/job shop environment, working from complex documentation and verbal/written instructions.

Ability to work overtime when required.

Choose day or night shifts; night shift includes a 15% differential on base pay.

Rewards Compensation is $35.00–$45.00 per hour, with a 15% differential for night shift. The range reflects our good-faith estimate of the anticipated minimum and maximum base + bonus. Final compensation is based on education, training, and/or experience related to the role and may fall outside the range depending on the circumstances.
