Position: Daisy Chain Sanctuary-Funding and Donor Engagement Volunteer

Daisy Chain Sanctuary is an equine‑assisted emotional wellness nonprofit in Boulder, Colorado — a sanctuary for horses, people, and the planet. We believe 30 minutes with a horse can change your life.

Every horse in our herd — Bobbie, Daisy, Pickles, Romeo, Boots, and Calypso — was given a second chance retired, surrendered, or deemed "useless" by others. All of our programs are groundwork‑based; we do not ride our horses. They are our teachers, partners, and guides.

Through grooming, presence, and body language, our horses help people of every age and background build connection, compassion, and confidence — a safe, judgment‑free space for healing that is difficult to replicate in any clinical setting. These experiences take place at our sanctuary, where visitors come to be with the herd.

The one exception is Magical Mini Visits Pickles, our miniature horse, travels to schools and senior centers — bringing a moment of joy and connection to those who can’t come to us.

Our programs include the Horse Connection Pass, Wild Hearts & Happy Minds summer enrichment, Magical Mini Visits, corporate wellness retreats at the sanctuary, and the Family HERD Series. Through community partnerships, we welcome low‑income families, culturally diverse groups, and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to the sanctuary — a model for equitable, community‑centered access to horses.
