• Inspect boats and personal watercraft for invasive Zebra/Quagga Mussels, Milfoil, or other plant species at an inspection point at Jumbo Reservoir. This role protects natural resources from non-native species that threaten wildlife, drinking water/irrigation, and all water-related outdoor recreation in Colorado.
• LEAD Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) Inspector
  :
  Perform boat inspection and decontamination duties according to state regulations and standard protocols at Jumbo Reservoir near Crook, Colorado. Lead responsibilities include on-the-job training for inspection staff, creating schedules, ensuring shifts are covered, collecting and verifying payroll timekeeping records, resolving staffing challenges with the area work lead, and recommending hiring/firing decisions. Additional duties include quality control assessments, ensuring accurate data entry, maintaining inventory, basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment, and public outreach on aquatic invasive species.
  
  Early morning, evening, and weekend work is required.
• STAFF ANS Inspector
  :
  Perform boat inspection and decontamination duties, independently or in pairs, at the reservoir with respect to aquatic invasive species. Provide public outreach with printed materials. The position reports to the boat ramp supervisor. Boat inspection training is provided. Early morning, evening, and weekend work is required.

FOR LEAD

• Good driving record and ability to work weekends, early mornings, and late evenings.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent customer service experience working with the public.
• Reliable and timely.
• Ability to self-motivate and work independently.

FOR NON-LEAD

• Ability to work weekends, early mornings, and late evenings.

• High school diploma.
• Experience with boats, trailers, power washers, small engines, and/or heavy equipment.
• Experience with Microsoft Word applications – Word, Excel, Access.
