Checkout Team Associate

Front End Checkout associates run our registers. They smile, greet and thank customers, ring up items, process payments, and keep a positive attitude. They stand for long periods of time and assist customers promptly.

You play a major role in how our customers feel when they leave the store. You are an ambassador of Walmart and may be the first, last or only associate a customer interacts with. The pace can be intense, especially in evenings, weekends, and holiday seasons, requiring you to scan items, explain prices, bag items, count cash back, and maintain a clean area.

You must be positive, multi‑tasking, and passionate about customer service and helping others.

Cashier

• Smile, greet, and thank customers with a positive attitude
• Stand for long periods while checking out customers quickly and accurately
• Keep your area clean and presentable
• Answer customer questions and help them with their needs
• Assist associates across the store as needed

Cart and Janitorial

• Ensure customers have a great first and last impression
• Gather carts from the parking lot
• Operate equipment to move carts from the parking lot to inside the store
• Clean restrooms, sales floor, and parking lot as needed
• Maintain a positive attitude in all weather conditions
