Software Development Engineer in Test

Overview

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support automated testing and validation for complex software systems in a secure environment. The role will focus on building robust test frameworks, validating APIs, ensuring quality across distributed architectures. This is hybrid in Arvada, CO.

• Design and implement automated test suites for end‑to‑end validation using Playwright or Cypress.
• Develop and maintain test scripts in Python and work with Type Script/JavaScript for front‑end testing.

• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, preferably using Git Hub Actions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure test coverage and quality standards across containerized and serverless applications.
• Support verification and validation for complex software systems in mission‑critical environments.
• Maintain version control and code quality using Git and Git Hub.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in software testing, backend development, or Dev Ops (or equivalent self‑driven technical experience).
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Type Script/JavaScript.
• Experience with end‑to‑end testing frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress.
• Strong knowledge of containerized applications, serverless architecture, and CI/CD automation.
• Familiarity with Git‑based workflows and version control systems.
• Active U.S. Security Clearance (Secret required; TS/SCI preferred).

Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 depending on experience
