Pay Range $19.39 - $29.70
The Warehouse Supervisor directs and oversees warehouse operations for each retail store, supervising warehouse specialists, order pickers and forklift operators. Responsibilities include supporting the Receiving Supervisor in managing the daily freight schedule based on customer and inventory needs.
Responsibilities- Schedule warehouse personnel daily to ensure proper staffing for shipping and receiving in a productive and cost-efficient manner.
- Direct day-to-day warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control.
- Handle Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and staging of products.
- Maintain warehouse equipment with preventive maintenance programs and communicate repairs to CEM and/or Operations Manager.
- Ensure safe, efficient equipment use and adherence to warehouse safety programs and OSHA/local/state regulations.
- Ensure associates are trained and follow standard operating procedures.
- Manage progressive discipline (counseling, oral and written warnings) to maintain a productive labor climate.
- Address general employee inquiries and resolve problems; coordinate with other departments to optimize warehouse operations.
- Complete necessary Activity Reports for management and monitor paperwork flow from Receiving to Inventory Control Specialist for timely data entry.
- Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
- Execute the Storage Buy Audit COP and ensure products are staged for counting and inspection.
- Ensure products are stored to conserve space and comply with safety procedures; oversee inventory rotation.
- Perform other related duties as directed by management.
- 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience (preferably in a warehouse or distribution center).
- Excellent interpersonal, team-building, delegating, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work with and maintain effective relationships with other departments.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Competent in basic mathematical calculations.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to work in Windows-based systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons.
- While performing duties, employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. Noise level is typically moderate to noisy.
- Physical work – ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20–30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers; ability to handle or feel.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
