Electro Mechanical Technician’s PurposeThe Electro Mechanical Technician’s primary responsibility is to maintain equipment in a proactive manner; identify, troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical abnormalities on all factory equipment. Perform all preventative maintenance as scheduled to drive down performance losses and increase equipment reliability. Build operator technical skills and capability.
Electro Mechanical Technician’s ShiftThis shift is a 12 hour, 2-2-3 schedule – must be available to work weekends and/or holidays.
Electro Mechanical Technician’s CompensationThe approximate hourly pay for this position is $35.00

Electro Mechanical Technician’s Primary Responsibilities- Maintain factory equipment; identify defects, execute maintenance plans, and troubleshoot equipment.
- Work in various areas of the plant including material handling and storage equipment.
- Understand power distribution systems (up to 480 volts).
- Manage control systems — basic PLC, motor, sensor, drives and basic electrical circuits; basic understanding of device communication networks.
- Understand mechanical systems — hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical drive systems.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving to maintain, optimize and improve production equipment with focus on safety, quality and cost.
- Review maintenance plans and optimize to drive reliability of equipment.
- Review required spare parts to maximize technical warehouse service factor.
- Maintain engineering drawings (electrical and mechanical).
- Build capability: coach operator skills on adjustments/changeovers for new and improved processes; build technical procedures; train other technical resources as needed.
- Use continuous improvement systems such as TPM/Lean.
- CMMS system (AMM): access and document all maintenance activities, identify and create work orders, perform time entry and provide technical feedback.
- Analyze data to improve the maintenance plan and line performance; improve or create necessary task lists and provide line improvement support.
- Core skills: collaborate as a team; proactively engage in safety, quality, and reliability improvements.
- Maintain factory standards and perform required work in line with factory systems such as SPC, QMS, Permit to Work and other Nestlé and legal requirements.
Minimum Education Level
- High school Diploma or GED
- Two-year technical degree in a maintenance-related area (Maintenance Technical/Mechanical, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance, Electronics technology) or equivalent work experience
Skills and Abilities
- Strong mechanical skills (hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical drive systems, and principle of operation)
- Facilities maintenance experience (chillers, air turnover units, cooling towers, HVAC, dock doors)
- Welding, fabrication and machining skills
- Electrical skills (NEC, AC & DC circuits, 480V power distribution, industrial…
