About The Role

The position will involve responsibilities in all areas of financial accounting, budgeting activities, analytics and reporting, audit preparation, monitoring, and compliance with financial reporting requirements.
Responsibilities- Maintain general ledger; prepare and enter month‑end and other required journal entries.
- Assist with reconciling investment, equity, debt and partner distributions.
- Review and reconcile monthly transactions and balances for accuracy.
- Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and budgets.
- Prepare work papers and various reports for external auditing.
- Prepare monthly management reports, including “Budget vs. Actual” variance reports of portfolios under management and provide follow‑up of significant variances.
- Assist with completion of the quarterly and annual reporting requirements and financial covenants to various parties.
- Administer obligations and responsibilities under the project agreements.
- Contribute to the Company’s special projects and support ad‑hoc requests as assigned.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited four‑year college or university with at least 2 years of experience; CPA and public accounting experience is preferred.
- Prior experience with the renewable energy industry or real‑estate accounting desired.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with different levels and functions of the organization as well as with external parties.
- Ability to work independently in a team‑oriented and fast‑paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to multitask and undertake complex tasks.
- Project‑oriented with a goal to complete assignments on time.
- Proficient in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Salary $70,000 - $90,000 a year. Salary will vary depending on your location and job‑related skills and experience. This is an incentive‑based position with the potential to earn more. For part‑time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
