Staff Accountant

Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a collaborative accounting team supporting multiple client accounts. This position is ideal for an detail oriented accountant who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and partnering with internal teams to deliver high-quality financial reporting and client service.

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in month-end close activities, reconciliations, accounts receivable processing, financial reporting, and cash management while helping identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

+ Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations.

+ Support month-end and year-end close processes.

+ Process cash receipts and maintain accurate accounting records.

+ Prepare and process customer invoices and monitor accounts receivable activity.

+ Monitor daily cash balances and assist with cash management functions.

+ Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.

+ Assist with internal financial reporting and special projects as needed.

+ Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure timely billing, collections, and financial reporting.

+ Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, workflows, and system efficiencies.

+ Support additional accounting and operational initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

+ 1-3+ years of accounting experience, including exposure to reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.

+ Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles.

+

Experience with accounts receivable, cash applications, and bank reconciliations.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.

+ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

+ Self-starter with a proactive approach to process improvement and client service.

+ Team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
