Job Description- Direct all accounting functions, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, cash management, and project accounting.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepare GAAP‑compliant financial statements.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition, complex contract accounting, and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, DCAA, and federal contracting regulations while maintaining a DCAA‑compliant accounting system.
- Oversee indirect cost structures, provisional billing rates, incurred cost submissions, and forward pricing support.
- Partner with Contracts and Program Management to ensure financial compliance, cost allowability, and effective administration of Cost‑Plus, T&M, FFP, and IDIQ contracts.
- Oversee project setup, funding, labor charging, contract modifications, invoicing, cost allocations, profitability, and project closeout.
- Monitor contract funding, financial performance, and project costs to ensure contract compliance and profitability.
- Serve as the primary financial liaison for DCAA, DCMA, external auditors, and tax advisors, coordinating audits and regulatory compliance.
- Manage responses to audit findings, corrective action plans, and compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, indirect rate planning, and financial analysis to support executive decision‑making and operational improvements.
- Support pricing strategies and financial planning for new business opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years leading accounting teams in a government contracting environment.
- Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP, FAR, CAS, DCAA requirements, government contract accounting, indirect rates, and incurred cost submissions.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint or a comparable government contractor ERP system.
- Proven ability to support financial statement audits, government audits, and regulatory compliance.
