Compensation: $80, (depending on experience)

Addison Group is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with prior construction or real estate accounting experience
. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who understands project- or property-based financial activity and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Track project costs, property expenses, and related financial activity
- Support job costing, construction draws, or property-level accounting
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing
- Prepare financial reports and investigate account variances
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit requests
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with GAAP and company policies
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Construction or real estate accounting experience is required
- Experience with job costing, project accounting, property accounting, or development accounting
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with systems such as Sage, Yardi, MRI, Procore, Quick Books, Net Suite, or a similar ERP is preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
