InDev is seeking a Business Analyst with 5+ years of experience supporting federal technology programs through requirements analysis, stakeholder engagement, and Agile product development. This role will work closely with government stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to define, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements for supporting applications. The ideal candidate will have experience translating DHS mission needs into actionable user stories, process improvements, and product enhancements while maintaining alignment with strategic objectives and operational requirements.
This position will play a key role in facilitating communication between business and technical teams, ensuring solutions deliver measurable value to end users and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, Product Owners, and development teams to gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Elicit requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, process analysis, and user engagement activities.
- Develop and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, business process flows, use cases, and product backlog artifacts.
- Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release planning activities to ensure requirements are clearly defined and prioritized.
- Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements that enhance operational efficiency, user experience, and mission outcomes.
- Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to ensure requirements are accurately understood, implemented, and validated.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), requirements traceability, and validation activities throughout the software development lifecycle;
Create functional test cases, Execute functional testing, Create UAT test scenarios, Facilitate UAT, Track and Report Testing Results. - Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to support program governance, decision-making, and stakeholder communications.
- Collaborate with UI/UX, development, testing, and security teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives, user needs, and compliance requirements.
- Support Agile and Dev Sec Ops practices by contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the portfolio.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting software development, digital transformation, or application modernization initiatives.
- Experience eliciting, documenting, and managing business, functional, and technical requirements in Agile environments.
- Demonstrated experience developing user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, use cases, and product backlog artifacts.
- Experience facilitating stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, and business process analysis sessions.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience supporting sprint planning, backlog refinement, user acceptance testing (UAT), and release activities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and requirements traceability skills.
- Experience working collaboratively with product owners, developers, testers, UI/UX designers, and government stakeholders.
- Proficiency with requirements management and collaboration tools such as Jira or Confluence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements.
- Experience supporting DHS, CBP, or other federal civilian agencies.
- Experience with mobile applications, customer-facing digital services, or enterprise application portfolios.
- Knowledge of Dev Sec Ops practices and modern software development life cycles.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PMI-PBA, CSM, or similar certification.
Clearance: U.S. Citizen;
Active DHS clearance or Top Secret DoD Clearance.
