Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Site Safety Manager to oversee a team of Safety Coordinators. Monitor safety protocols and ensure compliance across construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of occupational health, risk management, and construction safety standards. This role is vital in maintaining a safe working environment, minimizing hazards, and ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations including OSHA, NEC, and workers' compensation policies.
The Site Safety Manager will play a key role in developing safety programs, conducting site inspections, and fostering a culture of safety awareness among construction teams.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA, NEC, and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to prevent accidents and injuries on construction sites.
- Oversee occupational health initiatives to promote worker well-being and adherence to health standards.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with OSHA, NEC, workers compensation policies, and other relevant regulations.
- Coordinate safety training sessions for construction personnel using construction management software tools.
- Investigate incidents or accidents thoroughly, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety considerations into construction management processes.
- Maintain documentation related to safety compliance, audits, and training records for regulatory review.
- Stay updated on evolving safety regulations and industry standards related to EHS (Environmental Health & Safety).
- 5-10 years of experience managing a safety team and fast paced job sites.
- Strong expertise in risk management, occupational health, OSHA standards, and compliance management.
- In-depth knowledge of NEC codes applicable to construction projects.
- Experience with workers compensation procedures and claims management.
- Proven ability in construction management and site supervision within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with construction management software for tracking safety metrics and documentation.
- Construction site experience with a focus on safety oversight and hazard mitigation.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train teams and report safety issues clearly.
- Ability to analyze complex safety data and develop strategic solutions for risk reduction. This position offers an opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead safety initiatives on major construction projects while ensuring the well-being of all personnel involved.
