Position summary:

The Construction Manager will monitor and refine long-range and short-term plans to ensure project success, direct day-to-day field activities, manage information flow, control costs and schedule, implement and monitor safety programs, and verify that work meets construction document requirements. The role involves coordinating with General Contractors, Vendors, and Consultants to deliver data center projects, reporting to the DC Ops Field Management (FOI) and Sr.

Field Ops Construction Program Manager.

• Manage and/or coordinate with operations personnel and resources for the projects.
• Assist with preconstruction efforts.
• Manage all aspects of the project from inception through closeout.
• Review GC/Contractor Project Executive Plan and trade contracts; oversee procurement.
• Develop scope of work and review proposals for GC, Equipment Vendors, Commissioning Agent, and Testing/Inspection Agent.
• Oversee project performance including status, procurement, equipment delivery, schedule, cost control, safety, and change management.
• Maintain relationships with internal partners, designers, consultants, and the GC team.
• Attend and lead GC/Contractor project OAC meetings (progress, pre-construction, pre-award).
• Coordinate internal reviews of GC/Contractor site logistics plans, procurement plans, safety plans, and schedules for compliance.
• Coordinate MSOW submissions and reviews with internal teams, including scheduling escorts.
• Coordinate site blackout dates and stop-work notifications with GC/Contractor/Vendors.
• Conduct regular project walks to review progress, verify schedule updates, review invoices and quality.
• Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment (IFE) and enforce IFE programs on projects.

• 5-10+ years of experience in Construction Management of large-scale projects.
• Experience in data center, critical facility, or mission-critical environments.
• Experience overseeing General Contractors and external vendors.
• Proficiency in project documentation, quality assurance, and progress reporting.
• Strong skills in cost tracking, scheduling, and problem-solving.
• Knowledge of design, bidding and construction processes, quality control, costs, risks, schedule, and safety.
• Knowledge of construction delivery methods:
  Design-build, design-bid-build, CM-at-Risk, Design Assist.
• Knowledge of business and management principles for strategic planning, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Proficiency with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, Procore or similar PMIS, Microsoft Outlook, TEAMS, One Note, etc.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• CCM, PMI or PMP certification preferred, or similar applicable certifications.

Contract position based out of Ashburn, VA.

Hourly rate: $115.00/hr pay range specified as $115.00 - $115.00/hr.
