Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of safety experience supporting construction, industrial, manufacturing, mission-critical, or data center environments
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
- Professional safety certifications strongly preferred, including:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST/CSSP equivalent)
- Other recognized safety credentials
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, site safety programs, hazard recognition, incident prevention, and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to influence safety culture and build strong relationships with field personnel, contractors, and project teams
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and engage workers at all levels of an organization
- Proven track record of stable employment and long-term tenure in previous roles
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and overtime as project needs require
- Must be able to pass:
- Standard background check

We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Specialist to support large-scale construction and mission-critical projects. This individual will serve as a visible safety leader in the field, driving a proactive safety culture while partnering closely with project teams, contractors, and site leadership. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in construction safety, excellent field presence, and the ability to mentor personnel while ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities- Perform regular site walks, safety observations, and field audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards before incidents occur
- Lead safety engagement initiatives that drive accountability, awareness, and continuous improvement across the project site
- Conduct workforce tracking, daily headcounts, and site safety inspections
- Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and ongoing safety education initiatives
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while supporting corrective and preventive action plans
- Maintain accurate documentation, compliance records, safety reports, inspection logs, and site metrics
- Partner with construction management teams, subcontractors, and field personnel to ensure adherence to project safety requirements
- Provide coaching and mentorship to workers, reinforcing best practices and promoting a positive safety-first mindset
- Support onboarding activities, site orientations, and contractor safety compliance programs
- Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and customer-specific safety requirements
- Assist with emergency response planning, safety preparedness activities, and risk assessments
- Serve as a trusted field resource for safety guidance, hazard recognition, and regulatory compliance
