Math and Reading Tutors

In‑person, part‑time tutors are needed for a range of subjects at Huntington Learning Center.

• Teach math topics ranging from Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2/Trigonometry, Pre‑Calculus (including AP), through AP Calculus A/B, including SAT and ACT‑level math.
• Teach reading comprehension, vocabulary development, grammar, and writing skills at all grade levels, including SAT/ACT‑level reading and grammar.
• Teach science topics such as chemistry, physics, and biology at both non‑AP and AP levels.
• Work with students in a 1‑to‑1 setting, with the potential to handle 1‑3 students as needed.
• Flexible part‑time hours (afternoon, evening, weekend, summer); we are open every day.
• No lesson plans to write or curriculum to develop.
• No parent‑teacher conferences.
• Actual hourly rate will be based on experience, capabilities, and availability.

• 4‑year bachelor’s degree required.
• Ability to work in person; remote applicants will not be considered.
• Certification or license is a plus, but not required.
• Experience levels can vary – current and retired teachers encouraged. Professionals with expertise in other subject areas are welcome.
• Valid teaching credentials (if applicable). Must be a caring and qualified professional committed to students’ success.
