Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate, reliable Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) / Teacher Assistants to support students with disabilities in classroom settings for the 2026–2027 school year. These roles work 1:1 with a student , providing behavioral support, de-escalation assistance, and help with daily living tasks to ensure the student’s safety, engagement, and success throughout the school day.

• Provide 1:1 support to a student with disabilities throughout the school day.

• Assist with behavior de-escalation , emotional regulation, and implementation of behavior plans.

• Support daily living tasks , which may include prompting, supervision, mobility assistance, or personal care depending on student needs.

• Reinforce instructional activities under the direction of the classroom teacher and SPED team.

• Maintain a calm, patient, and supportive presence during challenging moments.

• Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and school staff to promote student growth and independence.

• Document observations and communicate student needs or concerns to the instructional team.

• Experience working with students with disabilities (Autism, ED, , OHI, etc.) strongly preferred.

• Ability to remain calm, supportive, and solution-focused during behavioral escalations.

• Comfortable assisting with daily living tasks and following individualized student plans.

• Strong communication, teamwork, and reliability.

• High school diploma required; additional coursework or training in education, ABA, or human services is a plus.
