This role will report to our Senior Mechanical Engineer and will be responsible for both designs and creates new product lines as well as supports and improves the existing product lines. An average day as a Mechanical Engineer at TAG will see you handling some combination of the tasks below:
Perform “First Article Inspections” on parts receivedDesign and revise both sheet metal, machined and plastic parts using Solid Works and CAD software.Support Senior Engineers to complete project requirementsProvide product support to manufacturing department as neededAssist Service Manager and Sales team to provide technical support to customers, both internal and externalAssist in the creation/revision of manuals, specifications sheets, illustrations, and other design documentsAssist in test lab as required by setting up and running testsProvide remote and occasional on-site customer support to troubleshoot equipmentRequirements

Proficient using Solid Works, Microsoft Excel, and Word.Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.2-5 years mechanical system design.Knowledge of hardware communication standards.Strong verbal, writing, and documentation skills.Eligible to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.Nice to Haves
GPS, GNSS experience strongly desired.Heat Transfer and Fluid Dynamics experience, using Solidworks Flow Simulation.Structural analysis experience, using Solidworks Simulation.Electrical schematics experienceElectronic controls experience.Ability to work independently, as well as having the ability to collaborate with team groups.CNC experience.3D printer experience.DoD Secret or TS cleared.#J-18808-Ljbffr
