This role is ideal for a smart, sharp, and driven engineer with a strong grasp of concept‑level design, schematics, and construction drawings. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, with experience in electrical power systems design for mission‑critical environments. As a subject matter expert, you will have a direct impact on the design of prototypical Data Center sites, provide technical design guidance and vendor oversight, solve large‑scale implementation issues, and build a strong understanding of site design and program requirements.

The successful candidate will develop and implement design strategies to expand the firm’s expertise, footprint and profitability in Critical Facilities and Digital Infrastructure. Our client is looking for an Electrical Solutions Engineer that has expertise in Electrical Power Systems Engineering and design for data center and infrastructure development efforts, specifically for large data centers. This challenging and unique role will involve the initial design specifications and prototype of critical power systems for new data centers and expansions to existing data centers.

The ideal candidate will have experience and in‑depth knowledge of Electrical Power Systems / Electrical Power Distribution System design and installation. Previous experience with electrical equipment design to include Generators, UPS systems and electrical switch gear is a must.

The Electrical Solutions Engineer is a critical role focused on ensuring the successful planning, design, and implementation of critical infrastructure for data center construction projects. This individual will possess experience with security protocols, compliance standards, and construction processes, to provide guidance and oversight throughout the project lifecycle.

The Electrical Solutions Engineer will play a pivotal role in reviewing project plans, assessing means and methods for construction, participating in the procurement and bid process for resources and equipment, and providing critical coaching and mentorship to project teams. This role involves overseeing the technical aspect of multiple projects, ensuring on‑time and on‑budget delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will help lead the electrical oversight of design/build team and work / communicate with all trades and stakeholders involved in projects.

• Manage projects, create designs and plans, provide and gather specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary electrical engineering design role for all sizes of data center facility design projects – enterprise data centers, colocation providers and for hyperscale companies.
• Create conceptual designs gathered from meetings with the client.
• Create prototypes that will produce the schematics that will be the basis for RFPs / RFIs.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within the boundaries of company policies.
• Represent the company in project meetings.
• Collaborate with all design staff and oversee full‑cycle electrical design activities.
• Interact closely with the Project Management Team to produce construction documents, develop and edit project specifications and lead the construction administration process.
• Execute and lead design teams and design projects of complex scope.
• Perform intermediate to advanced electrical design tasks including development of electrical distribution systems and topologies, infrastructure and equipment layouts and selection/sizing of equipment.
