Installation Integration Engineer, Senior; Network - C

Position located at Ashburn/Remote.

• Identify, gather and review requirements supporting the design and implementation of wired/wireless LANs.
• Perform site surveys to design the network and determine device placement and materials required for wired and wireless LANs.
• Create and deliver extensive documentation of design, device location, required materials, and integration approach.
• Apply extensive knowledge of networks to facilitate the design of wired/wireless LAN/WAN systems and enable integration into existing networks.
• Conduct tests and evaluations of wired and wireless networks to confirm performance and security against established thresholds.
• Design and test prototype network components and configurations to validate designs before deployment.
• Provide recommendations to eliminate problems and improve systems.
• Author detailed technical documentation including proposals and integration instructions.
• Train technicians and junior engineers.
• Lead and direct the work of others, including team members and subcontractors.

• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education, professional training, or experience (minimum 6 years).
• DoD 8140 Cyber IT Workforce compliance required.
• Experience in general networking and network administration, upgrade, and operations.
• Good technical writing skills and experience producing reports with Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio.
• Understanding of telecommunication rooms (TR), CAT 6, crimps, and wiring standards; BICSI certification is a plus.
• Experience leading teams, performing site surveys, and installing/configuring 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless equipment;
  Aruba certification is a plus.
• Use of measuring and diagnostic equipment to test, adjust, and optimize wireless network operation.
• Knowledge of wired networks including routers, switches, VPNs, VLAN, trunking, QoS, SDWAN, VXLAN, and EVPN.
• Experience working aloft and understanding of OSHA rules for work on man lifts.
• In accordance with the travel reimbursement policy, employees must prepay travel expenses, which will be reimbursed.
• Ability to travel up to 85% of the time.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with focus on customer relations and effective communication with all levels of military and government personnel.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must meet eligibility requirements to access sensitive information, which requires US citizenship.
