• Serve as subject‑matter expert (SME) on product configuration, usage, and end‑user interactions.
• Perform root cause analysis and investigation during product development, manufacturing, or customer field support operations.
• Support development and maintenance of testing procedures, scripts, and automation for product verification and manufacturing QA testing.

• Develop testing strategy informed by product architecture, requirements, and system definition.
• Manage product testing plans and procedures, ensuring capture of cross‑functional testing efforts and generation of searchable test reports that include test setup, parameters, and pass/fail criteria.
• Create and update functional and environmental test reports.
• Coordinate with external vendors to execute product certifications such as MIL‑STD‑810, MIL‑STD‑461, and CE compliance.

• Research new test equipment to improve test effectiveness and reduce quality escapes.
• Identify commercial off‑the‑shelf (COTS) products for integration into products or proof‑of‑concept demonstrations.
• Maintain vendor relationships to stay abreast of technological advances applicable to DTECH’s product domain.

• Develop logical architectures that capture systems via object‑oriented and modular design principles.
• Create state‑machine diagrams that demonstrate system behavior based on external signals ("black box" definition).

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in system engineering or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent demonstrated performance (e.g., US Veteran with operational experience in baseband communications equipment).
• Eligible for a US Department of Defense security clearance.
• Strongly desired:
  Exposure to IT and IP networking areas, Cisco, VMware, Linux, Microsoft, network configuration, virtual machine management, and performance testing.
• Knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and overall IP networking technology.
• Ability to load, configure and implement virtual machines in a VMware environment and other hypervisors.
• Experience testing and documenting new products with clear communication of design improvements.
• Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP in Route and Switch, Security, and IP telephony.
• Technical background in electrical engineering, low‑level computer concepts (BIOS programming, ethernet controllers, etc.).
• Software development background.
• Knowledge of deployed communications and telecommunications (SATCOM, 3G/4G LTE, MANET/MESH, fiber).
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, fiber optic, cellular (3G/4G/LTE), serial networks, WAN optimization, network routing (BGP, OSPF, RIP, GRE, IPv4, IPv6), and network equipment.
• Experience with network product testing (Wireshark, Iperf, Spirent, etc.) and military communications.
