We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP Project Manager to oversee the design, construction, and commissioning of data center projects. This role is critical in ensuring the successful delivery of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within high‑performance data center environments.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage all aspects of MEP systems for data center projects, from initial design through to commissioning and handover.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems into the overall project.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure timely and cost‑effective project delivery.
- Oversee the procurement and installation of MEP equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues promptly to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Ensure all MEP systems meet regulatory requirements, client specifications, and sustainability goals.
- Prepare and present project updates, reports, and documentation to stakeholders and senior management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications in project management are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing MEP systems in data center or mission‑critical environments.
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including HVAC, power distribution, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as MS Project or Primavera.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes, such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and IEEE.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
- Coordinate with design and construction teams to ensure MEP systems align with project goals and timelines.
- Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and submittals for MEP components.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Manage change orders, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed.
- Perform site visits to oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and contractors as needed.
