Voucher Examiner

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Voucher Examiner to support a company focused on federal transportation programs, financial management operations, and regulatory compliance. This position is on-site in Ashburn, VA. The Voucher Examiner will review, validate, and process financial vouchers, invoices, and reimbursement requests to ensure compliance with federal regulations and contractual requirements.

• Review and examine vouchers, invoices, and reimbursement requests for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal regulations and contract requirements.
• Validate labor charges, travel expenses, cost data, and supporting documentation against approved funding authorizations, rate schedules, and contract terms.
• Maintain audit-ready records and support internal and external audits by researching discrepancies and resolving findings.
• Enter, track, and reconcile voucher information within financial management systems while maintaining accurate reporting logs.
• Partner with program managers, CORs, vendors, and financial analysts to resolve payment issues and ensure timely processing.

• 3+ years of experience in federal financial management, voucher examination, invoice processing, accounts payable, or related financial operations.
• Experience using federal financial systems such as Delphi, PRISM, FMIS, or similar accounting and payment platforms.
• Knowledge of FAR regulations, federal cost principles, allowable cost rules, labor categories, and rate validation processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or other federal background investigation, if required.

• Salary Range
  : $65,000 - $70,000 depending on experience
