A valuable Tek Stream client is seeking a dynamic Senior Service Now PM/Architect who will serve as a team lead and architect to design, build, and optimize Service Now workflows, integrations, and modules while guiding stakeholders on best practices, platform enhancements, and secure scaling of Service Now across the enterprise. This role will provide both hands‑on development and enterprise‑level architectural guidance for the government Service Now platform.
This role will ensure Service Now supports enterprise service delivery, governance, and modernization objectives, while aligning with the Technology Reference Model (TRM) and Client's enterprise IT standards.
This is a Hybrid opportunity with 2-3 days/week onsite:
Ashburn, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design and architecture of Service Now solutions to support multiple task areas.
- Define and enforce Service Now development standards, platform governance, and security controls.
- Ensure Service Now aligns with government TRM, interoperability standards, and FedRAMP requirements.
- Development & Configuration.
- Lead cross‑functional Agile team in a scrum master like role to include daily stand ups, release reviews, retrospectives, and similar activities in a Scrum environment.
- Develop and configure Service Now modules (ITSM, ITOM, HR, GRC, etc.) to meet mission requirements.
- Build workflows, dashboards, catalog items, and integrations with enterprise systems.
- Implement automation and performance improvements across Service Now capabilities.
- Governance & Compliance.
- Support governance workflows for Service Now requests, approvals, and enterprise change control.
- Ensure compliance with Section 508, FedRAMP, and Client's IT security policies.
- Contribute to Service Now‑related SOPs, Centers of Excellence guidance, and architecture documentation.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and developers to translate requirements into Service Now solutions to include feature definition and creation and management of Jira epics and user stories.
- Present Service Now roadmaps, architecture decisions, and enhancement strategies in PMRs and stakeholder meetings.
- Serve as the Service Now subject matter expert for government leadership and OIT governance bodies.
Required Qualifications:
- Active DHS clearance.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related discipline or a minimum of three (3) years relevant specialized experience.
- 7+ years of development/architecture experience, with at least 3 years in a senior architect role supporting Service Now development work.
- Proficient in cloud‑based enterprise application platforms for IT services, operations, and business management.
- Proficient in Scrum Master and IT service delivery solutions.
- Proven ability to design, configure, and implement complex Service Now modules and workflows.
- Deep understanding of Service Now platform architecture, scripting, and integration methods (APIs, web services, MID servers).
- Experience supporting federal enterprise programs, with emphasis on governance and compliance.
- Strong communication skills to interact with technical teams and government stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Service Now Certified System Administrator and Certified Application Developer;
Architect certifications highly desirable.
