Big Data Administrator; Security Clearance

Position: Big Data Administrator (Contract) with Security Clearance
Location:

Ashburn, VA (currently required to go into office 2 days/week – Thursday and Friday)

Must be a US Citizen
Clearance:
DoD TS or DHS/CBP BI desired, but not required. A CBP BI will be required before work can start.

**** As a Big Data Administrator, you will be responsible for coordinating with the Cloud infrastructure support team to provision infrastructure and support OS level changes. Additionally, you will be coordinating with users of the Big Data environment to ensure proper access and resource allocations. Required skills and experience:
• BS Degree and 15+ years of experience administering Unix based systems.

• Experience developing Unix shell scripting.

• Experience developing Ansible scripts.

• Experience troubleshooting failed jobs.

• Experience providing access to resources.

• Experience performing OS patching.
• Experience coordinating with vendors (like Elastic Search and AWS) to troubleshoot issues.

• Experience with Git source management.

• Experience with AWS offerings, like: EC2, S3, EMR HBase, EMR Spark Clusters, Redshift. Desired skills and experience:
• Installing, configuring, and upgrading Apache Kafka.

• Installing, configuring, and upgrading Elastic Search ECE.

• Managing Docker

• Creating Disaster Recovery environments.

• Performing data migrations.

• Experience setting up and managing cluster monitoring and alerting capabilities.
