Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Data Center Technicians to support our customers in multiple locations across the United States. The successful candidate will report to a site location and work in an environment that operates 24/7. The role involves hardware and network diagnostics, physical repair, on‑call rotation, installation of equipment, documentation, and process improvement.
Key Job Responsibilities- Perform server rack installations and hardware break‑fix on various components, troubleshoot network issues, and respond to operational incidents that impact service availability.
- Serve as a primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, software developers, vendors, and contractors.
- Perform on‑call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
- Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives based on analysis of operational issues.
- Help train and onboard new team members.
- Take ownership of technical issues brought by the customer base, engaging other teams when needed to drive resolution.
- Solve problems at their root and step back to understand the broader context.
- Maintain service level agreements through proactive issue detection, reporting, and root cause analysis.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
- Work in a 24/7 environment, including on‑call rotation and after‑hours support.
- Regional travel may be required.
- 1+ year of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
- 1+ year of computer networking experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of server hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.

The starting pay for this position ranges from $27.00 to $48.00 USD hourly, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
