Data Center Operations Manager, DCO Manager

• Operationally responsible for a data center.
• Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators.
• Manage performance of a diverse team of data center operation professionals across different locations.
• Develop career paths and update them in internal tools.
• Recruit and train technicians to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations including queue management, 24/7 shift arrangement, and hardware logistics.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert across all aspects of data center operations.
• Ensure all operational KPIs and metrics are measured and met.
• Inspire and guide improvement in team processes, technology innovation and automation.
• Lead large‑scale events (outages) and coordinate the on‑call schedule.
• Document and enforce policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and required SLAs.
• Maintain the on‑call schedule and coordinate absences and vacations.
• Continuously strive to improve customer experience.

• Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed; work at alternative sites during training or until assigned facility is operational.
• Travel frequency will vary based on business needs and operational status of assigned facility.

• 4+ years of Information Technology (IT) experience or a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent.
• 2+ years of people‑management experience.
• 2+ years of operations and on‑call support for data center or mission‑critical facilities.

• 2+ years of computer hardware experience, including troubleshooting and repairing.
• Experience in technical writing in a relevant field.
• Certification in an applicable field such as A+, Net+, Sec+, CCNA, LPIC, Linux+, AWS certification, CND, Network+ or Security+.
• Experience with system‑management tools and client/server environments.
