The Lead Cable Technician role primarily involves the installation and decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure within a Data Center environment. A key aspect is the continuous pursuit of sustainable, repeatable, and improved solutions and processes. The individual is expected to provide leadership to crews and provide structured feedback on project progress to various stakeholders, ensuring high-quality workmanship, maintaining Data Center cleanliness, and adhering to all production, safety, and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices.
The role also requires collaboration with stakeholders to resolve project obstacles and the ability to read and comprehend blueprints and building documentation. A broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies is essential.
- Installation/decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment.
- Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, always with an eye on improvement.
- Provide structured feedback on project progress to Stakeholders.
- Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain Data Center cleanliness.
- Follow all production, safety and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with various Stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
- Reading and comprehending blueprints and building documentation/redline work.
- Broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies.
