Oracle Cloud Infrastructure – 24/7 Data Center Operations

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking experienced professionals to support the design, build, and maintenance of a large-scale multi‑tenant cloud environment. The role involves 4‑day shifts, 10‑hour hours, covering weekends and holidays.

• Hardware installation & configuration of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure.
• Hardware Break/Fix replacement of faulty components.
• Rack installation, including rack placement, cabling, power‑up, and handoff to internal provisioning teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve telco connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot & replace network switch equipment.
• Communicate within a ticketing environment supervised by Oracle Cloud service owners and teams.
• Document activities and build/modify SOPs.
• Perform structured cabling, labeling, and testing of fiber/copper/telecom cables.
• Install, fix and repair system power supplies and cabling.
• Execute small projects independently and collaborate with manager on larger local projects.
• Install, remove, and address technical issues in data center racks without disturbing other hardware.
• Maintain asset inventory and update internal applications.
• Be accessible via cell phone and responsive to on‑site emergency events.
• Participate in training to bridge skill gaps and learn relevant technologies.
• Act within Service Level Agreements (SLA) on assigned tickets.

• Knowledge of server, storage, and network hardware.
• Strong interest in learning new data center concepts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• 3+ years of experience in an IT environment.
• Experience solving problems on servers, networking devices, and IT equipment.
• Inventory management experience (ordering, receiving, shipping server parts).
• Experience with on‑call shifts and responding to critical events.
• Experience raising issues to senior onsite staff and management.
• Knowledge of RAID, SAN, SCIS, Linux/Unix, GRUB.
• Experience with structured cabling (Copper/Fiber) and testing of cables.
• Knowledge of trunk infrastructure is a plus.
• Shift schedule: 4 days a week, 10‑hour shifts, includes weekends and holidays.

• 2‑year or 4‑year degree or 3+ years of relevant experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in structured cabling, cable testing, cooling and electrical systems concepts inside data centers.
