Job Description:
Our client is seeking a UI/UX Designer to support a federal end customer with a build and modernization effort. They will serve as an Agile Scrum team member providing UI/UX design and development for the delivery of releasable software in short sprint cycles. Responsible for activities associated with software projects by working in close collaboration with business analysts, software developers/engineers, stakeholders, and end users within Agile processes.
Responsible for:
• Conceptualizing and designing custom software application capabilities for a variety of legacy and modernized systems with limited oversight.
• Lead the design of a cohesive look-and-feel and standardized user experience across the applications.
• Taking a leadership role in collaborations between the creative strategy, UX, visual design, development team, and client to create effective design strategies.
• Developing compelling, creative, and user-focused experiences and points of view that align with clients’ business objectives
• Collaborating with cross discipline team to create and execute experience style guides, interaction patterns, and information design standards
• Develop wireframes, mockups, and/or prototypes supporting design ideas and effectively communicate ideas to various stakeholders.
• Establish standard layout and style libraries across applications.
• Work closely the functional team to determine feasibility of requirements and collaborate on design ideas and improvements.
• Ensuring product quality and timeliness of work, providing advice and guidance, resolving problems to meet objectives, and providing periodic performance reports Must haves:
• Active Top Secret Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, such as Interactive Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design or Human Factors and seven (7) years of related experience
• Experience working collaboratively to communicate effectively through websites and web applications that are easy for people to use and responsive across all device viewports
• 7 + years’ experience as a visual designer, interaction designer, experience designer or a similar role
• Professional experience with enterprise UI design tools such as Figma (preferred), Axure, or similar tools
• Professional experience communicating designs with stakeholders such as product owners, end users, development teams, and management
• Ability to understand trade-offs between designs, technical feasibility, and maintenance
