WiFi Residential Router Lab Technician
Analyze and investigate issues encountered during lab testing of a WiFi residential router.
Reproduce reported problems methodically and identify root causes.
Work closely with our customer to understand reported issues and provide clear status updates.
Document findings, test cases, and resolutions thoroughly in Jira.
Develop or adapt scripts (sh, Python, etc.) to automate testing and analysis where needed.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality issue resolution.
Strong knowledge of network protocol stacks (IPv4/v6, DHCP, DNS, NAT, etc.).
Proficiency in Embedded Linux environments and shell scripting (sh).
Familiarity with TR-069 / TR-369 (USP) protocols and related tools.
Experience in issue reproduction and debugging in a lab environment.
Excellent problem-solving and technical documentation skills.
Good working knowledge of Jira or similar issue-tracking tools.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interface with customers and internal teams effectively.
Experience with WiFi protocol debugging and tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump, airtrace).
Familiarity with hardware testing setups for residential routers.
Understanding of Agile development practices.
