System Administrator Tier 2.; MSP

Overview

We are a rapidly growing Managed Services Provider hiring a Systems Engineer to design, support, and improve client infrastructure across networking, servers, virtualization, cloud, security, and backup technologies.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role for an experienced MSP engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, improving environments, and taking ownership beyond the ticket queue. You will work across a wide range of technologies while receiving extensive training, dedicated professional development time, and support from an experienced technical team.

• Design, implement, support, and maintain client network and server environments
• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, virtual server clusters, user accounts, permissions, email, and security controls
• Install and configure switches, routers, firewalls, wireless systems, racks, cabling, and related infrastructure
• Support LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, VoIP, QoS, and remote access technologies
• Monitor network performance and recommend improvements that increase reliability, security, and efficiency
• Manage backup, restore, disaster recovery, and system continuity processes
• Support Azure, AWS, VMware, and hybrid cloud environments
• Create and maintain clear documentation for client systems, networks, standards, procedures, and issue resolutions
• Assist with escalated support tickets and provide coverage when additional help is needed
• Exposure to a wide range of client technologies and infrastructure projects

• Recent experience working for a Managed Services Provider
• 3 to 5+ years of systems, network, or infrastructure administration experience
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Azure, and AWS
• Strong networking knowledge across switches, routers, firewalls, cabling, LAN, WAN, DNS, VPN, VoIP, and QoS
• Experience with HP or Aruba, Cisco, and Sonic Wall technologies
• Understanding of both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure architectures
• Experience supporting Windows and Apple environments
• Strong project management, documentation, and timekeeping skills
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients, business leaders, and technical teams
• Ability to work independently while remaining highly collaborative

• Salary: $100,000 to $110,000 base
• Annual bonus program tied to company revenue performance (last year was 10%)
