Your ImpactThe General Superintendent is a senior field leadership role responsible for overseeing and coordinating the execution of multiple projects across a region and varying levels of complexity. The General Superintendent serves as a mentor and teacher to Superintendents, a trusted partner to Operations, project management, leadership, and a key contributor to regional and corporate initiatives.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Perform all responsibilities of theSenior
Superintendent role. - Participateinand lead Project Execution Plan (PEP) peer reviews,providing execution strategy and constructability guidance.
- Develop, manage,andmaintainstrong subcontractor and client relationships across assigned projects.
- Leadpeopledevelopment efforts for field teams, including mentoring and coaching Superintendents.
- Serve as a teacher and mentor to Superintendents and emerging field leaders.
- Support and execute regional and corporate operational initiatives as assigned.
- Enforce labor agreements and ensure compliance with company and contractual labor requirements.
- Provide preconstruction support includinglogisticsplanning, schedule input, and constructability reviews.
- Oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously across varying sizes, complexities, and market sectors.
- Participate in hiring, promotion, performance management, and termination decisions in partnership with Account and Operations Managers.
- Strategize and support regional safety initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide leadership within Project Safety Leadership Teams (PSLTs).
- Co-manage equipment operations andutilizationin partnership with operations leadership.
- Co-manage Superintendent development with the Operations Manager.
- Oversee self-perform work management where applicable.
- Manage craft employment, workforce planning, and craft development initiatives.
- Minimum
10years of progressive experience in construction field leadership. - Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects across diverse scopes.
- Prior experience mentoring or leading Superintendents preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of construction means, methods, and field execution.
- Strong leadership, coaching, andpeopledevelopment skills.
- Ability to manage complexlogistics, schedules, and labor resources.
- Strong understanding of labor agreements, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability to influence projects, operations, and regional leadership teams.
- High School degree or GED required.
- OSHA Training Certification.
- Valid Driver’s License witha gooddrivingrecord.
