Production Technician - 1st Shift

At GXO Logistics, our employees take pride in their work and show dedication to their jobs. As the Production Technician Associate, you will assemble trailer components and sub-assemblies and perform quality inspections of components and sub-assemblies.

Day Shift - Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

• Identify and perform repetitive assembly of various trailer component parts using blueprints or work instructions.
• Safely utilize various measuring and inspection instruments.
• Use various power and hand tools in a safe manner.
• Work with a variety of materials, including steel, sheet metal, aluminum, solvents, oils and abrasives.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality standards.
• Organize parts and equipment to maximize efficiency within the department.

• A high degree of technical skills and assembling techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to read, understand and follow job orders and work procedures.
• Ability to perform work in a manufacturing environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent work or military experience.
• 2 years of experience and proven track record of successful performance in a warehouse environment.
• Availability to travel more than 75% of the time.
• Good communication skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate with and support other team members.
• Ability to be engaged and productive while remaining flexible and adaptable to changing conditions and expectations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work outside on occasion.
• Reach (including above your head).
• Safely walk, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel.
• Visually adjust focus, have depth perception and close vision capabilities.
