Qualifications- A technical degree or equivalent and 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, data center or field-service environments focusing on commissioning of LV/MV electrical switch gear
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Ability to travel along the east coast (60%) and work evenings/weekends when required
- Experience with switch gear and electrical control systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams

A client of Insight Global is looking for multiple Traveling Field Service Technicians to join their team out of Atlanta, GA and Ashburn, VA. This role involves attending project meetings as needed and coordinating with contractors and clients to support field activities. Responsibilities include the installation and modification of electrical and mechanical components and subassemblies such as panel board interiors, circuit breakers, bus bars, switch gear sections, control components, power cabling, and control wiring.
The position performs basic testing and commissioning of modified assemblies, switchboards, control panels and power products, as well as troubleshooting electrical circuits and associated networking equipment. The role also supports preventive maintenance, field installations, and equipment modifications while collaborating with technical project management and manufacturing teams to resolve product or commissioning issues and identify required field resources and replacement parts.
Technical product support is provided throughout installation and post-installation activities.
