Job SummaryPerforms tasks without direct supervision, necessary to assemble cables, subassemblies and/or final assemblies in accordance with drawings, work instructions, work cell designs and shop floor travelers. This position works under general supervision.
EssentialJob Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble parts together as shown on the prints without direct supervision.
- Work on the line where tasks vary as different models of the same article move along the line.
- Utilize basic Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) practices where applicable.
- Use and set‑up machines such as arbor presses, stripping machines, crimping machines, torque wrenches/drivers to perform force fitting or fastening operations on the assembly line.
- Operate SAP‑ME effectively and routinely; understand the Non‑conformance (NC) process in ME.
- Write or assist in writing detailed work instructions.
- Perform peer/in‑process inspection in accordance with company policies.
- Train Assembler Level1 &2 personnel and assist in Assembler Level3 training.
- Perform soldering functions (e.g., solder cables, wires, and terminals).
- Document print problems and interact with appropriate people to implement changes.
- Use tools and hand tools; achieve CPI times to complete device builds.
- Perform pre‑production testing and programming of devices as required.
Job Requirements
- High school degree or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) plus two years of related experience.
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading and the Material Inspection and Disposition (MID)/Work in Process (WIP) Database.
- Ability to place parts together as shown on the prints with limited supervision.
- Must be able to lift frequently 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Dexterously manipulate a variety of sizes of parts repeatedly.
- Operate industry standard hand tools.
- Follow instructions both written and verbal.
$24.00 – $28.00 per hour + benefits.
