Electronics Technician, Electronics Assembler
Job Description We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Assembler / Production Technician to join our dynamic production team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electronic and mechanical hardware components used in our products. You will work closely with engineers and other production staff to ensure that all components meet quality standards and are produced in an efficient, timely manner.
The ideal candidate must have some experience performing electro-mechanical assembly activities such as wire harness assemblies, low voltage assemblies or computer repair.
Job Description We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Assembler / Production Technician to join our dynamic production team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting electronic and mechanical hardware components used in our products. You will work closely with engineers and other production staff to ensure that all components meet quality standards and are produced in an efficient, timely manner.
The ideal candidate must have some experience performing electro-mechanical assembly activities such as wire harness assemblies, low voltage assemblies or computer repair.
- Mechanically assemble complex electronic systems, including high-quality wire harnesses, test racks, and components.
- Tasks include hand soldering and component fabrication within a team or autonomously as tasks dictate.
- Perform validation and testing of various electronic components using equipment such as multi-meters, network analyzers, and test racks.
- Conducts functional tests, identifying issues, and provide or implement solutions as directed.
- Ensure that all checklists are thoroughly completed, reviewed, and finalized before submitting them to Quality Assurance (QA) for approval
- Work as an individual contributor at times while mentoring more junior team members.
- Will be responsible for maintaining the assembly department’s equipment, tools, and ensuring compliance for calibration.
- Adheres to safety and ESD guidelines
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Proficient with common hand tools and power tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, calipers, crimping tools, soldering & desoldering stations, multi meters, or specialized test equipment
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, and follow assembly instruction, verify drawings and equipment layouts
- Physically able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and stand for extended durations.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with the Engineering Team while multi-tasking between the requirements and deadlines of multiple projects
- ISO
9001 or AS9100 QMS experience. - IPC/WHMA-A-620 experience
- IPC J-STD-001 experience
- Experience with CAD / 3D modeling software
- Experience with ERP software for tracking projects
