Responsibilities- Plan, organize and schedule crews to complete assigned work orders, including assigning tasks and ensuring high-quality installation and performing quality inspections.
- Monitor task completion, compliance and safety to prevent issues.
- Productivity planning for the assigned scope of work.
- Material phasing: organize material by specific areas/floors and track material inventories.
- Identify tools and equipment required to support each crew; manage gang box assignments, tool inspection and sign-in/out procedures.
- Prepare information packages for each crew activity (contract drawings, shop drawings, panel schedules, cut sheets, etc.).
- Maintain control of breaks and ensure safe, efficient work rhythms.
- Submit daily hours/units for each employee assigned to the Foreman on the established timesheet format.
- Perform quality control inspections of work completed in accordance with the QC plan and checklists.
- Ensure installation is completed to professional standards and maintain high-quality workmanship.
- Maintain accurate as-built drawings and log updates on the master contract drawings weekly.
- Inventory tools and equipment daily; submit inventory/inspection sheets weekly and ensure accountability.
- Report lost/stolen/damaged tools and manage AHA (Alternative Handling Allowance) reviews with crew members and store documents at the gang box.
- Submit daily equipment inspection sheets and manage field inspections as required.
- Follow and enforce accident/incident reporting procedures, with reports due within 24 hours.
- Ensure site cleanup and maintenance of a broom-swept condition at the end of each day.
- Ensure installations meet or exceed codes, contractual obligations, and QA/QC standards as defined by the Corporate Quality Policy.
- Review and implement Project Quality Plan; document and communicate deviations for site QC approval.
- Participate in QA/QC processes, including Definable Features of Work (DFOW) oversight under the crew leader’s responsibility.
- Document and return QC checklists and support timely inspections to adhere to QA/QC schedules.
- Initiate discrepancy notices to ensure issues are documented and resolved.
- Review weekly installation quality scorecards and drive corrective actions for nonconformities.
- Engage in QA/QC design reviews to identify constructability issues and provide feedback on quality portions of daily work briefs.
- Assist in maintaining ongoing quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
- 6+ years of experience in the electrical industry with a High School diploma or GED.
- 4+ years of experience with an Associate degree.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly; use proper lifting techniques and safety protocols.
- Relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
- Work at various heights up to 60 feet; climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and ladders.
- Walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and reach overhead routinely.
- Good vision (may be corrected), color vision, and ability to hear and communicate in English.
- Candidate should recognize problems and apply general rules to solve problems, and synthesize information to form conclusions.
- Detail-oriented with ability to see details at close range and comprehend information presented orally.
