Saab, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Control Inspector to work at our Ashburn, Virginia facility supporting Saab’s regional airline customers. As a member of the Quality team, you will be a critical contributor to the success of our global support organization.
Responsibilities:- Inspection of inbound and outbound shipments of aircraft parts
- Ascertaining that all certification documents accompanying parts are correct and complete in accordance with FAA and EASA Regulations
- Releasing parts in accordance with the requirements of the Production Organization Approval (POA)
- Participating in periodic audits of the Quality System by Saab Quality management and the various National Authorities
- Contributing to the Warehouse Team and performing warehouse duties
- Providing after‑hours on‑call duties to support our regional aircraft customers
- Data transactions within the ERP system
- Monitoring shelf‑life material
- Contributing to a people‑first culture in alignment with Saab values, demonstrating core Company values:
Trust, Drive, Expertise, and Support - Traveling to audit customer consignment inventories
- Performing other tasks as assigned
Compensation:
Starting hourly rate $34-$41, depending on relevant experience.
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:- High school degree or equivalent required, Associate’s degree is preferred
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Aircraft product knowledge preferred
- Effective time management/multi‑tasking and organizational skills
- Knowledge of ERP system
- Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word)
- Continuous process improvement mentality
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals
- Knowledge of safety procedures for warehouse operations
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
