Research Scientist, Clinical Research, Biomedical Science, Medical Technologist & Lab Technician
About the role
We are seeking a motivated Research Technician with experience in metabolomics, lipidomics, and/or proteomics to join the mass spectrometry shared resource. The successful candidate will play a key role in executing mass spectrometry sample preparation and LC-MS/MS system operation, serving as a trusted technical resource across a variety of labs and research projects at different stages. They should be equally energized by solving problems collaboratively and by independently executing well-defined workflow, even when working without full visibility into the broader research context.
We are also open to Research Specialist level candidates.
The mass spectrometry department at HHMI, Janelia Research Campus is a new shared resource founded in 2024 which is dedicated to advancing scientific research and innovation in the field of metabolomics, lipidomics, proteomics, and many more. We are equipped with pioneering instruments and solutions to facilitate the study of the dynamics, structures, functions, and interactions of various biomolecules which may correlate to cellular dynamics, neural and behavioral mechanisms.
